Proclaiming Christ in San Gabriel Valley for over 99 Years

Our purpose is to glorify God. We do so by developing a growing relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, as individuals, as families, as a community of believers. This relationship is possible because Jesus lived, died, and rose for us, enabling His spirit to live in and among us. His Spirit, the Holy Spirit, empowers us to be and do, as He desires. As Christ has shared His life with us, it is our joyful responsibility to share that life with one another and those beyond the church, especially those who identify with the Japanese American Community. Come learn with us what it means to be fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

There is something for everyone---as we reach out in service and love.

First Presbyterian Church Welcomes You into our fellowship as you are and extends to you the gift of God’s friendship and love. Here you will discover that God has made room for you and that as we gather together we are embraced by God’s own love. Here you can grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus, be known and cared for, and begin and deepen friendships with a diversity of people.

Come… Worship with us during our Sunday Service Be touched by the Lord anew as we sing together, respond to the Word with faith and rejoice in the new life that Jesus freely offers all who put their trust in Him. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. and concludes by 11:45. Our dress is casual.

Be Renewed by the Hospitality of the Lord’s Supper shared in worship on the second Sunday of the month and then after worship gather with the congregation for a time of fellowship at a delicious potluck luncheon. Here the fellowship with the Lord will be enjoyed as a gift which enables all of us to make new connections and deepen long lasting friendships. Join us in all we do as we receive and give away the Lord’s hospitality.

We invite you, your family, and friends to be a part of our church family as we serve the Lord something for everyone

Children, Youth and Family Ministries

Seeks to create a worshipping community of young people and families by creating room for them to experience God while they learn both about God and the journey of faith.

Held each Sunday in the Main Nursery, our infants are introduced to the wonders of the Bible and Jesus Christ through age-appropriate study materials under the watchful eye of teachers and aides from our youth program. Class commences every Sunday at 10:45 AM.

Godly Play

Inspired by the Montessori tradition, Godly Play tells the core stories of our Christian faith using beautiful three dimensional materials to welcome children into the presence of god.

Youth Group

Is a supportive fellowship which shares together the journey to encounter Jesus Christ and to allow Him to shape its members into being true disciples, fully equipped to do ministry.

Held each Sunday in the Toriumi Education Building Main, our youth are introduced to the truths contained in the Bible through age-appropriate study materials, quizzes, and plays based on the Godly Play curriculum. Class commences every Sunday at 10:45 AM.

Bible Study and Small Groups

As a congregation we serve the Lord in small groups. We affirm that each of us is called, gifted, and equipped to participate with those of faith in doing the “good works” of service and faith.

Adult Bible Study

Study groups meet weekly before Sunday worship and on weekday evenings four times a year for a 4-6 week Bible study series.
